Join Us Sunday Mornings at 10:00 am.

If Grand Rapids is one of the most “churched” areas in the United States, why are there so many sad, lonely people? Redeemer Church wants to do something about that. We believe we are better together; sharing our lives, worshipping, working, praying, and learning side by side. Becoming better followers of Jesus is really what we are about, so we celebrate transformed lives.  Our members and friends come from various traditions (and no tradition) and may hold differing opinions on many topics. Christ is our Center. We believe Jesus Christ came into the world to love and save the world, not condemn it.

Music at Redeemer is “unplugged”, mixing contemporary songs with hymns of various centuries and styles. We value prayer, silence, and biblical preaching that points to where God is active in and around and among us. Redeemer gathers weekly around the communion table and around the coffee pot. Kids and adults interact a lot. Single, married, divorced, and widowed folk are valued members of our community. Persons living with physical and cognitive challenges feel included and welcome, as do their families. We share our building with the Matu Christian Church, refugees from Myanmar (Burma).
We want the world to have fewer sad and lonely people. If you are looking for community and a way to get closer to God, please consider joining us for worship.

Who We Are

A farmer. A computer nerd. Ex-military. A college student. A boy doing cartwheels. A retired accountant. You might find such people chatting over coffee at Redeemer (the boy takes LOTS of cream in his coffee). Redeemer is a community of people who want to grow deeper in our relationship with Christ.

Ministries

At Redeemer Covenant, we write our spiritual journey together. It is our mission to help people find and follow Jesus at whatever stage of life they are in. If you are just beginning your faith journey or are further down the road, you are welcome to worship, learn, share, and grow with us.

What to Expect

Walking into a church building for the first time can feel a bit awkward. We believe that God really cares about people, so we go out of our way to make sure your first experience is as comfortable and easy as it can be. Dress casually. Communion open to all believers. Handicap accessible.
